Impression Liu Sanjie

The directer of the Opening Ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is Zhang Yimao. One of his famous works is Impression Liu Sanjie, also known as Light Show in Yangshuo.Liu Sanjie, who wasfamous for her sweat voice of singing folk songs, was a historic character in Guangxi.

Impression Liu Sanjie is a performance, which tells the ancient life of local people: singing, dancing, washing clothes,fishing, working, going to the market... . There are more than 600 persons perform in the show, many of them are from the villages nearby. The background consists of twelve hills. The show is hold on the water of the Li River. A lot of bamboo rafts are used in the show and all the rowers are from the nearby villages who used to be fisherman. The show begins at Eight o'clock every evening except the heavy rain evenings.
